Throughout the Civil War, union armies attempted to take control of the Confederate capitol of Richmond, VA. During these invasions, large numbers of Cavalry were engaged where the Sharps Carbine was the rifle of choice. This bullet was fired by that rifle during these invasions. This imporant piece of history was rescued from development by Metal Detectorists on private property.
