Life for the U.S. Military Dragoons in the West was a hard one with days of sheer terror mixed with months of boredom. The Dragoons were an instrumental force in keeping the peace on America's Frontier and this bullet witnessed that struggle and was rescued from development by metal detectorist working in the area near the fort in the 1960's.
