This frigate class Spanish merchant ship sailing from Cadiz, Spain with goods for the Colonial market wreckedx off the coast of the Yucatan while avoiding detection of the British war and Pirate ships operating out of Port Royal, Jamaica. These glass beads would have been used as trade or gift items to native people in unexplored areas of the Spanish Empire.
