The Peruvian pink opal is characterized by having a milky pink uniform. The shades that these opals may have ranged from pale pink to deep pinkish-red. Another of its characteristics is that both translucent and opaque stones are usually very clean, with hardly any inclusions, although some stones may be stained with black inclusions.
